Community Groups

We were made for community—because God Himself is community.

The Heart of Community Groups

At Veil Church, we believe the Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation. From the earliest days of the Church, God’s people gathered—not just in synagogues or large assemblies, but in homes, around tables, and in the everyday rhythms of shared life. This wasn’t just a cultural norm; it was a Kingdom pattern.

The goal of our Community Groups is simple yet powerful: Community in the presence of God. When believers come together to pursue Jesus—through prayer, meals, meaningful conversation, and Scripture—we begin to experience what Jesus called the Kingdom of God in our midst. These aren’t just small groups or weekly meetups; they are sacred spaces where a Kingdom environment can take root.

Every group will look a little different; that’s expected and even encouraged. Some will gather around food, others around study or shared interests. But while the expressions may vary, the culture should be consistent—marked by the values of heaven: joy, peace, prayer, hospitality, and the Word of God.

Okay, sure—technically food isn’t required. But come on… from Genesis to Revelation, God’s people are always gathering around a table. And when Jesus comes back? We’re celebrating with a feast. So, be like Jesus.

And here’s something we never want to lose sight of: Community Groups might just be the best place to introduce your non-Christian friends to “church.” While these groups will naturally consist mostly of believers, they are not closed circles. Your neighbors, coworkers, and friends who don’t yet know Jesus should feel welcomed, known, and at home. These gatherings are meant to be warm, real, and rooted in the presence of God—a place where questions are welcome, walls come down, and people can taste the goodness of the Kingdom.
